Welcome to SMJdesign, the online presence of Stephen James. Stephen lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife, Rachel. Professionally, he is a media designer with experience in interactive, print and video. Stephen specializes in semantic, standards-based information design and highly interactive web animation. He has a marketing and advertising agency background and currently works full-time at a full-service advertising agency. Stephen has collaborated with illustrators, printers, writers, and public relations specialists.

He updates several websites regularly. Stephen contributes to a poetry website, the poetry knook, which contains more than 450 original poems. His personal blog is titled Llama and Lamb and discusses daily life, current events, politics, and married life. He posts tutorials concerning Flash, HMTL, and video at his media production blog, Interactive Llama. You can still view his college portfolio from several years ago.
